Excerpts from the book:

"This collection of images is a chronicle, a storybook.
It shows what I have seen, where I have been, people I've met along the way. Through
these photographs I share feelings, reflections,
and growth. In many ways, this collection represents
a surrender to the idea of the holy through
the medium of photography.

“You might say this photographic canon is also a
testament to theology, or my relationship to God.
It's how I see the world. Photography is both a
part of my calling and takes me to, and teaches me
about, the world I see and the world imagined.
My prayer is that the world you see in this collection
reveals something new about how God works
and speaks, and about the untiring presence of the
Spirit.“Photographs are ways to share moments and expressions in life. Photography is a form of prayer, of hope. It teaches about the past, the now, and the future of God’s great story and how we fit in. By its very nature, an image extends beyond the day. It preserves moments that no longer exist. It holds firm a memory of the way we used to be, and is a visual reminder that we are always transforming, changing, becoming.

“We all live our lives as editors, and even theologians.
Every day we selectively view, hear, and
experience, and this discretion forms the core of
our beliefs and ideologies. We are shaped, or
carved by them, just as the wind sculpts stone
though you’d never imagine it possible.
“My imagery chronicles the tenacity of the Spirit--
the fact that even though we may turn away from
it, the Spirit's power is ever-present and emerges
regularly in our lives. The Spirit may show itself
through ordinary and extraordinary images alike,
and the images you see here have helped uncover
new layers of my spirit so that I have been able to
grow closer to God. I pray the same thing for each
person who looks at them.”
